Vancouver Only Laundry Detergent

I found this at Planet Organic in Port Coquitlam a few months ago at it works great. Less than a 1/4 cup does an entire load of baby soiled goods, and a bag is under $10. Phosphate & nitrate free. Recyclable bag. Biodegradable. Affordable... and the best part.... it actually works great. If you see it, get some.

  1. OMG this detergent is amazing, I usually use gain or tide and one day we ran out and our local grocery store carried this and we decided to try it. It does wonders on the whites. I am impressed.

  4. Saw it at Donald's Market, in New West, wondered if it worked as the price was very reasonable. I'll pick some up for sure!

  5. Whole foods now sells it for 5.99$. Stong's also sells it for 4.99$, they deliver all over the Lower Mainland, including Bowen Island. The company also makes dish soap, which works really well.

  6. Been using Vancouver Only Laundry Detergent for over 5 years since stumbling across it at Capers on Robson (now Whole Foods). Have found it at all Donald's Market locations, Whole Foods, and SuperValue on Davie St. Usually priced anywhere from $4.69 to $6.99.

I recently made the switch to their liquid Dish Soap and am so far just as pleased. Petroleum and chemical based soaps are no good. Had previously been using Clorox Green works dish soap, although it's 97% plant based and works well, it still uses petroleum derived from corn plus has artificial colour added, YUCK!

Since making the switch to natural soaps (for body and home) over the last few years, all of which are dye and fragrance free, I found I've become sensitive to mainstream chemical rich, fragranced brands. The smell is too much and if I wear clothes or sleep in sheets washed in them I tend to get a slight rash. Proof of how much crap is in the brightly coloured products where profits go 90% towards marketing/packaging and barely a cent to quality, natural ingredients.

  7. It does bother me that they don't seem to list their ingredients anywhere.

  9. It has Borax in it. Borax is not all that it is cracked up to be. Check out the EWG's website to find out more about it.

  12. Hello, does anyone know who makes this? I cannot find the company itself and London Drugs just sold out of it. Is it like a mystery company? I got the ingredients list for the liquid from London Drugs, but now cannot buy it since it's gone:
VANCOUVER ONLY LAUNDRY DETERGENT 3L INGREDIENTS
Filtered Water, Xanthum Gum, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Borax 5 mol,
Sodium Carbonate, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Chloride, Coconut Fatty Acid.
